Actually, it's not quite ready yet. It's freeform and unconventional, so I've been uncertain how to write it up. But a few people have said that they're waiting for the pattern, so I will just put this out as is. I'd welcome any feedback – then I can continue to improve my description of this pattern. So,
here it is! :-)
[Update March 2017: I have now improved the pattern and changed the links to go to the updated version.]
Glad you decided to share it on your blog - they are gorgeous !
ReplyDeleteThanks, Muskaan! :-) And thanks very much for your encouragement and your very helpful comments when test-tatting this pattern.
DeleteOoh, how wonderful! Any chance there will be a video to accompany the pattern?
ReplyDeleteIt would be a challenge for me to do a video! Also, these trees are really so small, all you might see is my fingers! I will think about diagrams or progress pictures. But let me know more after you have tried the pattern.
DeleteI like the pattern. Can't wait to see what you come with next.

DeleteThanks! :-)
DeleteA freeform pattern must be tricky to convey. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's tricky. In my hands at least, it never comes out quite the same way each time.
DeleteI love the look of those Grace. Is there a source for the beads you used for tree trunks? I will probably be making these after the new year. I have the pattern downloaded now. Thanks for doing these!
ReplyDeleteWell, I bought these coral beads in Chinatown in Singapore, where there are many bead shops! I just browsed around and bought whatever looked promising, and my sister picked these from the range I offered her. But you could try completely different beads. For my prototype I used a round bead, and it doesn't look too bad! And now I have made a pair for myself with square base beads. Or you could try Muskaan's tatted tree trunk...
DeleteOh, this is ADORABLE! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Be sure to let me know if you need any help with it
Deletesuper!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I was wondering whether to email you about them! :-)
DeleteI swear I commented on this! I love this, it's so wonderful! Can't wait to try it- Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to that! :-)
